What does it mean to be a Plus Eight mentor?

A Plus Eight mentor is someone who will engage and support our Plus Eight startup community. As a mentor, you can support any of our Programs, for startups in many different stages. This includes:
Leap: a startup bootcamp for idea-stage founders
Sprint: a pre-accelerator program for prototype and early stage companies
Accelerator:  running over six months, our accelerator program supports founders, ideas and teams with traction
Boosted: a series of scale-up events
Social Scholarship: supporting entrepreneurs with ideas that create impact

What can I do?

Being involved in Plus Eight ranges from running workshops, to providing mentorship and connections. As well as:
• Be a mentor for the startups in our community
• Judge at our Selection Bootcamp, interview the startups, give advice and help us select the next cohort!
• Give a Masterclass or be a Speaker in one of our Events: are you an expert and would like to share your knowledge in a structured way? We would love to have you on stage!
• 1:1 mentorship and connections: adopt one startup and make sure they have all they need to succeed! Your advice and introductions them to new people and opportunities are invaluable for those starting.
• Come along to our Pitch Nights and Networking events to show your support.

What is the time commitment?

Time commitment is completely up to you! You can choose to enroll in one or multiple activities, and follow up with the startups individually as per your interest and connection to the founders.

What's in it for me?

A side benefit to supporting a stronger ecosystem, you get to also be part of a high value network, meet other mentors and business founders and be the first to spot investment opportunities! Don't miss the chance to invest in the next Perth Unicorn!
