Why Plus Eight?
Over sixty percent of the world’s population lives within two hours of Perth’s GMT Plus Eight-time zone.
This coupled with technology gives young WA startups previously unparalleled access to fast-growing global markets.
Since launching in 2013, muru-D has invested in and supported, over 62 Asia-Pac companies in their Sydney, Singapore, Brisbane and now Perth accelerators. So far these companies have gone on to raise a combined A$16M in further funding and generate over 310 new jobs. The muru-D network however extends far beyond these cities to create a truly global network, with alliances to other accelerators in Silicon Valley, Tel Aviv, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Auckland.
